Another miserable day for football.
United got off to a great start when they went one up within a minute.
Their joy didn't last for long though, when Thorniewood got an equaliser.
It was end to end play with United just edging things.
Then they were awarded a penalty kick, which was well struck into the corner of the net.
That was the way things stood at the break.

 

 

The second half was more or less like the first period until United were awarded their second penalty kick.
The Thorniewood player was sent off and United scored from the penalty.
Again Thorniewood came back and pulled it back to a one goal lead.
United then got a fourth goal to extend their lead once more.
To their credit Thorniewood came back at United and were rewarded when they scored a third goal.
As much as they tried Thorniewood just couldn't get the equalising goal.
